Job Description GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Design and create marketing material and event publicity, perform organizational office tasks and serve the organization with your understanding of marketing and reaching the churches/pastors RESPONSIBILITIES: Attract potential churches to join the association by designing eye-catching and informative materials that are used by staff as a means to communicate the benefits of being a part of Interstate; Perform routine office tasks, such as filing and shredding papers, getting mail-outs ready, and organizing current files and supplies; Prepare and send out event publicity material; Participate in major promotional events; Help in the planning process of the events QUALIFICATIONS: Education: pursuit of degree OR Bachelors degree in Business Experience: Previous event planning or creative design experience Other: Must be inline with the mission and values of Interstate – bringing the Gospel to the Northwest |

There were many benefits of having this internship! I had my own office and was paid $12 an hour for part time. The people I worked with cared about my growth as a person, professionally, spiritually and emotionally. I felt needed and utilized.

There is an opportunity to work for them full time. I also had the chance to meet a lot of people and network with many different churches and pastors from all over the United States.

Achievements
I created new marketing material that will greatly benefit and help publicize the association. As well as I created a new base for churches to join. I felt like I was able to learn new skills in the areas of design and marketing. I also was able to grow in my skills of event planning and see what it is like in the real world and on a budget.
